Moving
I have spent the last month moving from my home of 13 years to a new place about 20 miles north. It was a lot of work. I needed to do some major downsizing, and organizing, before I started packing and boxing things up. I worked almost everyday after work until I fell into bed each night. On moving day I had my awesome kids and Marco come help. Then I spend every night after work cleaning the old house and unpacking and organizing the new house.
I love my now house, the feeling that I am completely in control of my life, my finances, and I am making it on my own is a huge sense of accomplishment. It is also very scary. I can't rely on consistent child support, Scott doesn't find it important to support his children. I have to budget every penny so when I need to take my car in for new brakes, I have enough in savings to cover that. I am still paying for utilities on two houses and taking care of two lawns. It is still a lot of work. But each day I am getting closer to closing the door on my old life and letting that go, taking the good with the bad. I am looking forward to a different future then I ever imagined but I am determined to make that wonderful.
In other news...
Ryan has almost completed his second week hiking the PCT. This has been a dream of his for several years. He as researched and worked to making this dream a reality. When I last talked to him he was still having the best time ever. He is meeting people from all over the world, blazing his own trail, and figuring out the details. He has to manage the money he saved to last for the next 4.5 months. He took with him 15lbs of gear to last for the next 4.5 months. I am so proud of him for setting this goal and working hard to achieve it, and I hang onto every post he makes. You can follow him on FB or Instagram @ ry_gnar542
