Thanksgiving

Last year I booked our condo in Levenworth with the hopes of having all the kids join us. Well that didn't really happen but we still went and the boys came up and we had a very quiet relaxing few days and it turned out really nice.

October Highlights

Oh Molly!

You are so full of life, energy, and stubbornness.
I love your spunk and sweetness all the same.
You command the room and demand attention,
You do want you want without mention.
You smile and hide we know you you love big.
I love watching you, for I see your mom.
It makes me wonder where did all the time go
Live this moment and without regret
I will watch you blossom and become the best yet!

I started walking around my little town on my lunch. It is so nice to get outside and feel the sun on my face and to hear the waves crashing against the shore. The view never gets old.

Kelsie got me this cute tee-shirt for my late birthday gift. It is a nice reminder of my fun trip.

Fall is hard, I don't like the shorter days, but I took the time this fall to enjoy the beautiful colors and take note of the beauty around me.

Avrie let me do a quick photoshoot with her in the beautiful fall colors. She is a beautiful girl and growing up so quickly.

Hiking Zion

Some people come into your life at the exact moment that they are needed. That is my friend Cynthia, I honestly can say I would not have survived the last several years without her. We have built an honest, genuine, friendship. We can say anything to each other, call each other out, and of course we have a great time together. We can spend hours laughing about the dumbest things and have hours of heart to heart talks sharing our most deepest thoughts without judgement. Anyway, she is a little crazy, I am more reserved and somehow we balance each other out pretty well. We decided to go on one last fall adventure, it was short notice but we pulled it off beautifully. We flew down to Las Vegas rented a car, drove to Hurricane UT and then the next day headed for Zion Nation Park. We hiked Angels Landing, it was over 90 degrees and it was in the full sun, it was hot and steep. Cynthia's asthma started flaring so she decided to wait while I went the rest of the way by myself. This was a little out of my comfort zone but I am all about pushing that so I forged ahead without her. I made it to the top, I didn't do the last little chain part for a couple of reasons. I was dizzy from the heat, I was carrying a bigger pack then I should have been, and I didn't want to leave it just sitting there. Also, Covid...you have to hold onto the chain the whole way with hundreds of other people so I passed on that. I took in the view, relished in my accomplishment of hiking that by myself and took lots of pictures.

The next day we got up early  and made it to "The Narrows" I cant even describe how amazing this hike was. We hiked up the river for about 4 hours. We were lucky to go early enough that the crowds were pretty thin. We took our time taking pictures, talking to other people along the way, and enjoying the view around every corner. The pictures don't do it justice. We, at some points were hiking in water up to our waist. I wore the wrong shoes and my feet hurt. We made it back in about 2 hours because there were a lot more people, we were hungry and my feet hurt with each steep by the last hour I was just taking it one step at a time making sure I placed each step in the right spot. We made it back, stopped for a fabulous dinner where we ate way too much food, but we earned it! We drove back to Vegas after dinner and checked into Mandalay Bay.

All the pictures were taken on our way up, when we were fresh and having a great time. We had a great time coming back down too but we were on a mission to get out and not come in contact with all he people and not get injured. We followed one guy on the way up who fell three times on the rocks right in front of us. We were careful and made it up and back safely. It was an amazing day.

We spent the next day laying by the pool, with our mask on! We relaxed and then headed back home early the next morning.
